Position Overview

Full-time obstetric anesthesiologist faculty position at the University of Colorado Anschutz Department of Anesthesiology. Open rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) to join the Obstetric Anesthesia Section. Role includes providing anesthesia care for high-risk obstetric patients, labor analgesia, perioperative care, and solo obstetric and fetal anesthesia at the Colorado Fetal Care Center. Key Responsibilities

Administer care alone or supervise residents, CRNAs, and CAAs. Provide comprehensive anesthesia for obstetric procedures and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Contribute to teaching through lectures and precepting, and advance knowledge through clinical or laboratory research.

Qualifications

Fellowship training in obstetric anesthesiology required. Must be licensed to practice medicine in Colorado or eligible. Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists (or equivalent foreign certification). Strong knowledge of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine, with teaching experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salaries: Assistant Professor $355,400; Associate Professor $364,800; Professor $373,200. These compensate for scheduled clinical work Monday through Friday and exclude variable pay such as call or incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; 10% employer contribution to 401(a) retirement plan; 22 vacation days, 15 sick days, and 15 holidays annually; tuition benefit; ECO Pass for transit.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Full-time onsite position in Aurora, CO. Clinical duties assigned across University of Colorado affiliated hospitals. No specific call frequency detailed.
