Position Overview

1099 Anesthesiologist position at Vail Health in Vail, Colorado. Full-time year-round role in a collaborative team-based model with CRNAs.

Compensation

Pay is $3500 per day. Additional compensation for time worked over 10 hours a day and extra days worked. Some weeknight and weekend call is compensated.

Schedule

Full-time year-round with rotating shifts. Includes compensated weeknight and weekend call rotations.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe high-quality anesthesia care. Administer anesthesia using IV, local, spinal, or caudal techniques. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures. Manage airway and provide life support in emergencies. Evaluate patient risk. Collaborate on anesthetic plans. Oversee care with CRNAs and staff. Educate patients on post-procedure recovery.

Requirements

Minimum five years experience as an anesthesiologist. Skilled at epidurals, spinals, and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. Board certified in anesthesiology. Doctor of Medicine degree with anesthesiology residency. Ability to stand for long periods. Supervisory experience preferred. Excellent communication and team player skills preferred.
