Position Overview

Open Track Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology position at Children's Hospital Colorado in Colorado Springs, CO. Full-time faculty role in the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 100% personal anesthesia care for pediatric patients.
• Cover pediatric surgery, ENT including craniofacial, urology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, trauma, gastroenterology, and acute pain.
• Perform regional anesthesia.
• Take in-house and pager call.
• Occasional bedside teaching for medical students and fellows.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required.
• Board eligible or certified in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology.
• Licensed to practice in Colorado by hire date.
• ACLS and PALS required at hire; ATLS within one year.
• Experience teaching anesthesiology.

Compensation

Base salary $352,000. Clinical day equivalent model allows variable pay up to $213,000. 10% employer retirement contribution. 22 vacation days, 15 sick days, 15 holidays. Tuition benefit and ECO Pass included.

Schedule and Call

Full-time onsite role with share of in-house and pager calls.

Facility and Practice

Primary site is Children's Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs. Academic affiliation with University of Colorado. 100% own cases, no CRNA or AA supervision.
