Position Overview

Anesthesiologist position at Vail Health in Vail, Colorado. Full-time year-round role with a 40-hour week and rotating shifts. The position includes some weeknight and weekend call with additional compensation for extra hours and days.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care in a collaborative team-based environment
• Participate in compensated weeknight and weekend call rotations
• Administer anesthesia using IV, local, spinal, or caudal techniques
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
• Manage airway and provide life support in emergencies
• Evaluate patient risk and collaborate on anesthetic plans
• Oversee care with CRNAs, nurses, and support staff
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience as an anesthesiologist
• Skilled at epidurals, spinals, and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia
• Board certified in anesthesiology
• Doctor of Medicine degree with anesthesiology residency
• Supervisory experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary of $600,000

Schedule & Call Requirements
