Position Overview

Full-time Anesthesiologist position at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. This is a 1.0 FTE call position with four weeknights and one weekend day per month.

Key Responsibilities

Cases include ortho, transplant, regional, spine, healthy pediatrics, thoracic, plastics, and L&D coverage. No vascular or cardiac cases.

Qualifications

Board certification in anesthesiology required. Position open to anesthesiologists seeking a teaching hospital environment.

Facility Details

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is a 609-bed acute care, teaching, and research hospital. The hospital is the first in DC to receive Magnet-designated nursing excellence and has newly added operating rooms in the Verstandig Pavilion. Centers of excellence include neurosciences, transplants, cancer, and gastroenterology.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range of $475,000 to $505,000 annually. Competitive bonus and incentive pay. Guaranteed 8 weeks of PTO plus paid holidays. Annual CME stipend with reimbursed license and fees.
