Position Overview

Regional Anesthesiologist position at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Full-time role focused on regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine.

Key Responsibilities

Perform over 3,400 blocks annually for burn, cardiac, orthopedic, plastic, and trauma patients. Place peripheral nerve and neuraxial catheters. Common blocks include interscalene, supraclavicular, femoral, adductor canal, TAP, and erector spinae plane.

Qualifications

Regional anesthesia fellowship or regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine fellowship completed or in progress, or significant experience required. Board certification in anesthesiology expected.

Facility Details

MedStar Washington Hospital Center is a Level I trauma center and quaternary care facility with over 40 anesthesia sites including 30+ ORs, endoscopy, EP lab, and labor and delivery. Teaching site for anesthesia residency, SAA, and SRNA programs.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range $505,000-$535,000 annually. $50,000 signing bonus. Guaranteed 8 weeks paid time off plus holidays. Annual CME stipend with reimbursed license and medical staff fees.
