Obstetric Anesthesiologist | Pittsburgh, PA

Position Overview

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center seeks board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologists for UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. Fellowship training or substantial experience in obstetric anesthesiology is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general and obstetric anesthesia care
• Supervise CRNAs at 3:1 concurrency target
• Participate in beeper call and in-house OB call

Schedule and Call

• Physician daylight coverage Monday-Friday
• General: 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• OB: 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM
• Call: All days, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM beeper and in-house OB

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in anesthesiology
• Unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania
• Fellowship training or substantial experience in obstetric anesthesiology

Practice Details

• 19 anesthesiologists and 49 CRNAs on staff
• Academic appointment available
• Custom position and salary structuring based on academic, clinical, and research interests
