Position Overview

Transplant Anesthesiologist position at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN, supporting liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant programs plus complex hepatobiliary cases.

Compensation & Benefits

1099 compensation of $15,697.65 per week plus $50,000 annual transplant stipend and $25,000 annual subspecialty stipend. $25,000 commencement bonus in year one. Up to $10,000 relocation assistance. $5,000 annual CME stipend. Premium pay for extra hours. Faculty appointments available. 9 weeks unpaid PTO.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Full-time role with 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule. Shared transplant and general call rotation with Q3 call from home.

Practice Environment

Physician-led ACT model at a high-acuity tertiary referral center. Care for adult orthotopic liver transplants, kidney and pancreas transplants, combined procedures, and major hepatic resections. Collaborate with transplant surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, intensivists, and CRNAs.

Qualifications

MD or DO with ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency. Board certified or eligible in anesthesiology. Tennessee medical licensure eligibility. DEA registration. BLS and ACLS. Experience with liver, kidney, or pancreas transplantation or complex hepatobiliary procedures required. Fellowship training preferred but not required. No visa sponsorship.
