Position Overview

Somnia Anesthesia seeks a TEE-certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a full-time hybrid role at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis, TN. The position combines cardiac and general anesthesia in a physician-led ACT model.

Practice Details

60% cardiac cases with the remainder general surgical procedures. Cardiac cases include CABG, valve repair and replacement, structural heart procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman, EVAR, and peripheral vascular interventions.

Schedule and Call

General call rotation of 48 calls per year, averaging one per week in-house with a CRNA and post-call day off. Non-call-taking full-time M-F option available. Part-time opportunities also offered.

Compensation

1099 position at $285 per hour. Premium pay for hours over scheduled time. 9 weeks unpaid PTO. Faculty appointments available.

Qualifications

MD or DO, ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency completion, board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology, TEE certification, Tennessee medical licensure eligibility, DEA registration, BLS and ACLS. Experience with open-heart and structural heart procedures required. Cardiac fellowship preferred but not required. No visa sponsorship.
