Position Overview

Somnia Anesthesia seeks a Transplant Anesthesiologist for the liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant program at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. This full-time role focuses on high-acuity transplant and hepatobiliary cases within a physician-led ACT model.

Schedule & Call

Full-time position with shared transplant and general call. Q3 call from home. Schedule is 3 weeks on, 1 week off.

Practice Environment

Support adult orthotopic liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants plus complex hepatobiliary procedures at a high-acuity tertiary center. Collaborate with transplant surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, intensivists, and CRNAs.

Qualifications

MD or DO, ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency completion, board certified or eligible in anesthesiology, Tennessee medical license eligibility, DEA registration, BLS and ACLS. Experience with liver, kidney, or pancreas transplant anesthesia or complex hepatobiliary cases required. Fellowship training preferred but not mandatory. No visa sponsorship.
