Anesthesiologist No OB | Lafayette, IN

Position Overview

Full-time Anesthesiologist position at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. The role offers a mix of solo practice (60%) and medical direction (40%) with an ideal supervision ratio of 1:3.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care across a wide variety of cases excluding major trauma, transplant, OB, and cardiac (handled by separate team).
• Perform peripheral nerve blocks with strong ultrasound regional skills.
• Care for healthy pediatric patients aged 6 months and older.
• Option to teach residents and SRNA/SAA students.

Schedule and Call

Equitable call distribution with M-F 3p-7a and Sun 7a-7a. Call taken from home one week at a time with guaranteed post-call week off. Saturdays handled separately. No OB cases.

Compensation and Benefits

Above-average base salary plus annual retention and performance bonuses. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available. 8 weeks PTO/vacation. Occurrence-based malpractice coverage. Qualifications

BC/BE MD/DO with ACLS and BLS. Indiana license or eligibility. New graduates and J1 visa candidates welcome. Strong communication, team orientation, and commitment to patient-centered care required.

IU Health Arnett Hospital is a 204-bed Level 3 trauma center with 6 surgical suites, 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage, and Cerner EMR. Adjacent outpatient surgery center. Patient draw base exceeds 500,000.
