Position Overview

Indiana University Health Physicians seeks a patient-centered General Anesthesiologist for a full-time academic position at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Schedule and Call Requirements

One week on, one week off. Monday through Friday, 3PM to 12AM. No weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Combination of inpatient and outpatient cases. Participation in growth of the adult academic health center. Involvement in student, resident, and fellow training with faculty appointment.

Qualifications

Residency training in Anesthesiology required. Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology required. Indiana medical license or eligibility required.

Facility Details

IU Health Methodist Hospital is a 1000-bed tertiary referral center and the largest trauma center in Indianapolis. It features over 130 ICU beds and provides subspecialized care in cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care. A new downtown hospital campus is under construction with opening planned for late 2027.
