Position Overview

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center seeks a full-time BC/BE Cardiac Anesthesiologist in Reading, PA. The role is at a 204-bed hospital with 6,000 OR cases annually including approximately 100 cardiac cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide cardiac anesthesia and supervise others in 99% of cases
• Participate in 1:4 call with guaranteed post-call day off
• Cover orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, neurosurgery, cardiology procedures such as TAVR, and pediatrics

Qualifications

• MD, DO or foreign equivalent
• BC/BE in Anesthesiology with Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship or TEE certification
• Pennsylvania medical license and federal/state narcotics certificates

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary $610,000 with incentive bonus opportunity
