Position Overview

Full-time Cardiac Anesthesiologist role at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA. Join a team at a 204-bed hospital serving a community of approximately 400,000.

Key Responsibilities

Provide cardiac anesthesia care including TAVR, Watchman, and ASD/PFO procedures. Perform independent work and supervise others in 99% of cases. Handle approximately 100 cardiac cases annually along with orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, neurosurgery, and pediatric cases.

Qualifications

MD, DO, or foreign equivalent. BC/BE in Anesthesiology with completion of a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship or TEE certification. Ability to obtain Pennsylvania medical license and federal/state narcotics certificates.

Schedule and Call

Varied shifts from 7a-5p plus on-call. Call frequency is 1:4 with guaranteed post-call day off.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary of $610,000 with opportunity for incentive bonuses. Sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, CME allowance and time, vacation, paid parental and medical leave. Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness programs.
