Position Overview

Board certified or board eligible Attending Anesthesiologist with fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine sought for full-time clinical scholar pathway faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical anesthesiology care in main operating rooms, ambulatory areas, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, and Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU. Mix of solo practice and supervision of CRNAs, CAAs, and residents. Coverage includes pediatrics (older than 3), neurosurgery, and obstetrics.

Qualifications

Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology with fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine required. Interest in teaching, research, clinical, and administrative missions.

UVM Medical Center is a busy academic hospital and Level 1 trauma center serving Vermont and northern upstate New York as the sole tertiary referral site. Large collegial department includes Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, CAAs, residency program, pain fellowship, and nurse practitioners.
