Position Overview

General anesthesiologist position at UPMC Mercy hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Physician daylight coverage with beeper call.

Schedule and Call

M-F daylight shifts 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Beeper call 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM all days.

Practice Model

CRNA supervision with 2.75:1 concurrency target. 24 anesthesiologists and 33 CRNAs on staff. Academic appointment available.

Qualifications

ABA board-eligible, certified, or equivalent. Unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania required.

Facility Details

UPMC Mercy is a 488-bed tertiary care hospital and Level 1 Adult Trauma Center with Adult and Pediatric Burn Centers. 16 inpatient ORs and 6 outpatient ORs. Case mix includes thoracic, trauma, orthopedic, vascular, neurosurgery, and complex maxillofacial procedures. No solid organ transplants.
