Position Overview

Anesthesiologist position at the Columbia VA Health Care System providing anesthesia care to veteran patients.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range $350,000-$400,000 per year. Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) authorized up to $200,000. Recruitment incentive authorized. 50-55 days paid time off per year. Schedule & Call Requirements

Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. On-call coverage required.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment and preparation of patients for anesthesia. Provision of anesthesia during procedures. Management of life functions and vital organs. Performance of general anesthesia, neuraxial anesthesia, nerve blocks and monitored anesthesia care. Supervision of CRNAs. Post-anesthesia care and critical care support. Participation in quality monitoring and team meetings.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree. U.S. citizenship. Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory. Board certification preferred. BLS/ACLS required. Proficiency in written and spoken English.
