Position Overview

Full-time Anesthesiologist role at Prisma Health in Columbia, SC. The physician provides diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of disease consistent with professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease, defects, or injuries.
• Render medical treatment without regard to ability to pay, race, creed, color, sex, religion, national origin, or age.
• Complete accurate and timely medical records using CPT and ICD codes.
• Provide after-hours call coverage equally with other physicians.
• Comply with managed care, Medicare, Medicaid, and Joint Commission standards.
• Maintain continuing medical education for certification and licensing.
• Participate in non-revenue generating activities including committees, teaching, and research.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Successful completion of residency.
• Board certified or board eligible.
• South Carolina medical license, controlled substance license, and DEA number.
• Basic computer skills and specialty-specific skills.
