Position Overview

CRNA position providing anesthetic care for all types of patients and procedures at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. The role involves administering anesthesia, monitoring patients, and managing the anesthesia process including induction, maintenance, and emergence.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety and excellence in airway management.
• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and select anesthetic agents and techniques.
• Insert intravenous and invasive monitoring catheters, perform endotracheal intubation and extubation.
• Monitor patient response and manage anesthesia for general, regional, and monitored cases.
• Administer IV fluids and blood products as needed.
• Document patient status and perform safety checks on equipment.
• Participate in surgical pause and communicate with the perioperative team.
• Assist with teaching newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
• Board certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.

Facility Details

United Hospital Center is a non-profit, 300-bed new hospital facility with 15 ORs and 5 endoscopy suites. Comprehensive bread and butter surgical services. No hearts, heads, or sick peds. Member of WVU Medicine.

Schedule & Call Requirements
