Anesthesiologist | Dover, NH

Position Overview

Full-time Anesthesiologist position at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH, part of Mass General Brigham. The role involves independent anesthesia administration and CRNA supervision across bread-and-butter cases including healthy pediatrics and obstetrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently administer anesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
• Supervise CRNAs (average 3 per shift).
• Provide preoperative optimization in collaboration with the Surgical Optimization Center.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia.
• Develop individualized anesthesia plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Schedule and Call

Four 10-hour shifts per week. Weekend call averages 8 weekends per year with 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

MD or DO from accredited institution. Completion of four-year anesthesiology residency. Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology. New Hampshire medical license or eligibility. New graduates welcome. Strong skills in regional and obstetrical anesthesia preferred.

Compensation

Salary range $420,000 to $460,000 annually. Competitive benefits package.

Practice Details

Team of 16 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs. Opportunity for chronic pain management if desired. No cardiac or neurosurgical cases.
