Position Overview
Ochsner Health in New Orleans seeks BC/BE Critical Care Anesthesiologists to join a team of 4 critical care anesthesiologists. Preference for dual BC/BE in anesthesiology, though all training backgrounds are considered.
Key Responsibilities
The position includes approximately 25% clinical time in Critical Care Medicine with the balance in mixed operative practice. The Surgical ICU covers 34 beds with patients from Cardiothoracic Surgery, Mechanical Circulatory Support including ECMO, LVAD, IABP, and Vascular Surgery.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a strong interest in academics and research. Experienced physicians and those directly from fellowship are welcomed. No J1 visa opportunities.
Facility Details
The OMC Department of Anesthesiology includes 70 Anesthesiologists, 100 CRNAs, and more than 45 house staff, with an annual case volume exceeding 52,000. It is a teaching program with fully accredited Anesthesiology residency as well as Adult Cardiac Anesthesia, Pulmonary Critical Care, and Neurocritical Care fellowship programs.
