Position Overview

Section Head Pediatric Anesthesiology role at Ochsner Children's Hospital in New Orleans. Lead a team of seven pediatric anesthesiology faculty for practice at the new freestanding Ochsner Children's Hospital opening in 2028.

Understand healthcare finance, reimbursement, and project planning. Develop strategy aligned with Ochsner system goals.

Qualifications

Board certified or eligible in primary specialty. Licensed MD/DO. History of leadership experience and track record of patient-centered collaboration with surgical specialists. Strong interest in academics and research.

Facility Details

Ochsner Children's Hospital includes 67-bed Level IV NICU, 14-bed PICU, 12-bed CVICU, and 44-bed Pediatric Acute Care Unit. Advanced programs cover congenital heart surgery, transplantation, hematology-oncology, and complex surgical subspecialties. Teaching affiliations with Tulane University and University of Queensland. Department has 70 anesthesiologists and 100 CRNAs with over 80,000 annual cases.
