Position Overview
Academic Anesthesiologist position at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center. Faculty rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology.
Key Responsibilities
Teach and mentor 32 residents and 3 pain fellows in ACGME-accredited program. Train future neuroanesthesiologists through ICPNT-certified fellowship. Provide care across Academic Medical Center, St. Mary Medical Center, Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, and ambulatory surgery center.
Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology. Advanced training in Peds, OB, Critical Care, or Cardiac encouraged. Eligible for Louisiana medical licensure. New graduates welcome with mentorship provided. Strong commitment to teaching, scholarly activity, and patient-centered care.
Compensation & Benefits

Schedule & Call Requirements
40-hour week, Monday-Friday 7a-3p. Minimal call.
Practice Details
Collaborative team of 23 faculty anesthesiologists and 54 CRNAs. Level I Trauma Center, only one in the region. Visa sponsorship (J1/H1B) available.
