Position Overview
Ochsner Lafayette General seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Anesthesiologist for a full-time position in Lafayette, Louisiana. The role operates in a medical direction care team model across multiple facilities including main hospital, community hospital, orthopedic hospital, GI center, surgical hospital, and teaching hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia for bread and butter cases, orthopedics, general surgery, neurosurgery, urology, women's services, and healthy outpatient pediatrics. Work alongside in-house CRNAs covering labor and delivery and OR cases.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology. New graduates and experienced physicians considered.
Facility Details
Ochsner Lafayette General is a Level II Trauma Center and Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Center with an accredited cancer center and metabolic and bariatric surgery program. It includes a teaching hospital component.
Schedule and Call
Nocturnist system eliminates weeknight call shifts. Weekend call is evenly distributed. Internal moonlighting opportunities available.
