Position Overview
Ochsner Health in New Orleans seeks a board eligible or board certified anesthesiologist to join the Division of Abdominal Transplant Anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities
Provide and coordinate patient care in cooperation with department clinical staff. Participate in teaching and clinical care. Perform liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants including liver-kidney, pediatric, split liver, and living donor cases.
Qualifications
Board eligible or board certified anesthesiologist. Previous experience performing liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants required. Intraoperative TEE certification or pursuit of certification preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills required.
Facility Details
Department includes 80 anesthesiologists and 120 CRNAs with annual case volume exceeding 52,000. Ochsner Health System operates 30 hospitals and more than 80 health centers across Louisiana.
