Position Overview
Academic anesthesiologist position at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center. Faculty rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology.
Key Responsibilities
Teach and mentor 32 residents and 3 pain fellows in ACGME-accredited program. Provide care across academic medical center, St. Mary Medical Center, Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, and ambulatory surgery center. Participate in scholarly activity and patient-centered care.
Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology. Eligible for Louisiana medical licensure. New graduates welcome with mentorship. Advanced training in peds, OB, critical care, or cardiac encouraged. J1/H1B visa sponsorship available.
Compensation & Benefits
Board certified starting pay of $600k. Malpractice coverage provided. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. Life, disability, and AD&D insurance. Flexible spending accounts. Optional retirement plans with institutional contributions. Additional compensation for overtime and weekends.
Schedule & Call Requirements
Monday through Friday, 7a-3p schedule for 40-hour week. Minimal call.
