Position Overview

Locum tenens anesthesiologist position in Houston, TX 77090 at a high-acuity hospital. Start date November 1, 2026. Duration 24 weeks. 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week with mix of daytime coverage, restricted call, and unrestricted daily call including weekends and holidays.

Schedule and Call

3 days per week. 12-hour day shifts. Includes restricted and unrestricted call rotations covering weekends and holidays.

Compensation

Weekly estimated pay $2,740-$3,200. 1099 contract position.

Job Requirements

Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology. Cardiac fellowship training and TEE certification strongly preferred. Experience preferred; new graduates may be considered. Ability to manage solo cases and work in care team model. Comfort with complex surgical and procedural cases.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for trauma, cardiac, ENT, GI, neurosurgery, oncology, orthopedics, pulmonary, general surgery, urology, and bariatrics. Manage daily clinical coverage and call rotations. Deliver care for solo cases and collaborative workflows. Apply cardiac anesthesia and TEE skills as needed.
