Position Overview

Sentara Health is hiring a VP, Operations - System Anesthesiology in Virginia Beach, VA. This enterprise role provides executive leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for anesthesia services across 12 acute care hospitals, multiple ambulatory surgery centers, and office-based procedural locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct system anesthesia strategy aligned with enterprise clinical and organizational goals
• Establish collaborative relationships with executives, physician leaders, and perioperative management
• Lead enterprise Anesthesia growth through Anesthesia Management Company
• Evaluate external partnerships including JV ASCs
• Improve key performance metrics in efficiency, growth, finance, and quality
• Partner with Acute, ambulatory, Revenue Cycle, and Managed Care leadership

Qualifications

• Senior level management experience in healthcare operations within a dedicated service line (Anesthesia)
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence Physicians
• Experience managing growth and quality within a multifaceted infrastructure
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MHA or other Master's in related area required

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range for full-time employment is $234,395.20 - $289,390.40 annually. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k)/403(b) with employer match, paid time off, parental leave, tuition assistance up to $5,250/year, student debt pay down up to $10,000, and adoption/fertility reimbursement up to $10,000.
