Position Overview

Medical Director Anesthesiologist position at Sentara Virginia Beach Ambulatory Surgery Center. Role is 90% clinical and 10% administrative with supervision of CRNAs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical and operational leadership for the anesthesia program. Maintain active clinical practice with proficiency in regional blocks and care for pediatric patients.

Qualifications

Board certified in anesthesiology. Minimum five years clinical experience preferred. Minimum three years leadership experience preferred. Expertise in regional anesthesia required. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range $388,024 to $623,917 annually. Shift-based compensation with medical director stipend. Sign-on bonus. 10 weeks time off. Paid malpractice with tail. $7,500 CME allowance. Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, tuition assistance, and student debt pay down.
