Position Overview

Full-time CRNA position at University of Pittsburgh Physicians, Anesthesiology Department, St. Margaret in Pittsburgh, PA. Non-exempt hourly role with flexible 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts plus a 24-hour call option.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and related care including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care.
• Manage controlled substances per department, hospital, state, and federal guidelines.
• Assist with teaching and evaluation of newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Participate in quality improvement processes.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program. Current Pennsylvania RN license. CRNA certification or eligibility. BLS, ACLS, and PALS as required. Master's degree preferred.

Facility Details

UPMC St. Margaret is a 250-bed Magnet-designated hospital and UPMC Certified Stroke Institute with 13 ORs and 3 GI procedure rooms. Rotation to UPMC Harmar Outpatient Center (5 ORs) for ophthalmology, orthopedics, and plastics cases. Cases include general, orthopedics, urology, vascular, GYN, and ENT.
