Position Overview

Full-time CRNA position at University of Pittsburgh Physicians, Anesthesiology Department, St. Margaret in Pittsburgh, PA. Non-exempt hourly role at a 250-bed Magnet designated hospital and UPMC Certified Stroke Institute.

Key Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia and related care including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care. Accountable for controlled substances per policy. Assist with teaching GRNAs and SRNAs. Participate in quality improvement processes.

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited nurse anesthesia program. Licensed RN in Pennsylvania. Board certified or eligible by Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. AHA ACLS, PALS, BLS, and CPR required.

Facility Details

UPMC St. Margaret: 250 beds, 13 ORs, 3 GI procedure rooms. Cases include General, Orthopedics, Urology, Vascular, GYN, ENT. Rotation to UPMC Harmar Outpatient Center (5 ORs) for Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastics. Teaching hospital affiliated with University of Pittsburgh.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Flexible shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours with on-call team. New 24-hour call option available for condensed schedules.
