Position Overview

Full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist position at University of Pittsburgh Physicians, Anesthesiology Department, UPMC East in Monroeville, PA. The role provides anesthetic care for patients in cooperation with supervising physicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and related care including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care.
• Assume responsibility for controlled substances per department, hospital, state, and federal guidelines.
• Assist with teaching and evaluation of newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement process through documentation and incident reporting.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. Board certified or eligible by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
