Full-Time CRNA at UPMC Altoona | Altoona, PA

Position Overview

Full-time CRNA position at University of Pittsburgh Physicians, Anesthesiology Department, UPMC Altoona. The role involves providing anesthetic care across 13 operating rooms and off-site locations including critical care, OB, GI/endo, EP, bronchoscopy, catheterization labs, interventional radiology, neurointerventional labs, MRI/CT, and a six-room surgery center.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care.
• Monitor patient reactions to sedatives and anesthetic agents.
• Assume accountability for controlled substances per department, hospital, state, and federal guidelines.
• Assist with teaching and evaluation of newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Participate in quality improvement processes.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program. Current Pennsylvania RN license. CRNA certification or eligibility. AHA-approved ACLS/PALS and BLS/CPR required.
