Position Overview

Full-time CRNA position at University of Pittsburgh Physicians, Anesthesiology Department, UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh, PA. Non-exempt hourly role in a 400-bed tertiary care center.

Schedule and Call Requirements

Monday through Friday daylight hours with various shift options and guaranteed breaks. One beeper call every 8 weeks on a weekend. Free on-site parking.

Key Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia and related care including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care. Assume accountability for controlled substances. Assist with teaching newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs. Participate in quality improvement processes.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. Board certified or eligible by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. CPR, ACLS, and PALS as required.
