Position Overview

Advanced Practice Nurse (CRNA) position in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Puget Sound VA Health Care System.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. No telework or virtual options.

Compensation

Salary range $126,857 to $183,971 per year. 50 days paid time off annually (26 annual leave, 13 sick leave, 11 federal holidays). Traditional federal pension with 5-year vesting and 401K with up to 5% VA contribution. Federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance options.

Duties

Provide direct patient care including order writing, documentation, admitting, discharging, and procedures. Manage cardiothoracic post-operative pathways. Serve as clinical preceptor. Manage patient panels with acute and chronic conditions. Order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship. English proficiency. Selective Service registration for males. Background investigation. Pre-employment physical. Seasonal influenza vaccination. Full unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory.
