Position Overview

The University of Washington Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine seeks academic anesthesiologists at Assistant, Associate or Professor rank for liver transplant anesthesia. Positions are without tenure due to funding and may be full-time or part-time with start as early as December 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general and liver transplant anesthesia services
• Teach residents, fellows and medical students
• Train clinical care team members
• Engage in teaching, research and service

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
• Board certified or eligible in anesthesiology
• One-year fellowship training in liver transplant anesthesia
• Eligible for Washington medical licensure
• H-1B visa sponsorship possible for full-time only

Compensation

Assistant Professor: $354384-$376044 annually
Associate Professor: $406116-$410172 annually
Professor: $427884-$445812 annually

Additional incentive compensation available through UW Physicians practice plan.

Schedule

Full-time or part-time options available. 12-month service period with one month equivalent paid time off.
