Position Overview

The University of Washington Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine seeks Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Clinical Practice anesthesiologists. Positions are part-time with start dates of December 2025 or later. These non-tenure-track roles focus on teaching residents, fellows, medical students and the clinical care team alongside general anesthesia services.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
• Board certified or eligible in anesthesiology (or foreign equivalent)
• Eligible for medical licensure in Washington
• H-1B visa sponsorship available only for full-time positions

Compensation

Base salary ranges (full-time equivalent):

• Assistant Professor: $354,384 - $385,512 annually
• Associate Professor: $406,116 - $410,172 annually
• Professor: $427,884 - $445,812 annually

Additional incentive compensation may be available through the UW Physicians practice plan.

Schedule

Part-time positions with 12-month service periods. Faculty are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period.
