Position Overview

Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) needed for a full-time contract job in New Braunfels, Texas, providing safe, high-quality general anesthesia care with a collaborative anesthesia team.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Four 10-hour day shifts per week; shifts are non-consecutive. Approximately 40 hours per week. No call requirement. No weekend requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for a broad range of surgical and procedural patients. Participate in pre-anesthesia evaluations, intraoperative monitoring, anesthesia administration, and post-anesthesia care. Support cases in general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, and the cardiac catheterization lab. Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other members of the perioperative team. Maintain patient safety through vigilant monitoring and timely clinical intervention. Accurately document anesthesia assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Cerner.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant. Current Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant certification. Active Texas license or eligibility to practice in Texas. Current ACLS and BLS certifications. Ability to provide safe and effective anesthesia care under medical supervision. Experience with general, orthopedic, gynecologic, ENT, and cardiac catheterization lab cases preferred. Experience with blocks, spinal anesthesia, and epidural anesthesia is welcomed but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

Weekly estimated pay $5,830-$6,250. 401K with matching, healthcare, dental and vision available. Company paid malpractice for 1099 contractors. Weekly direct deposit.
