Chief of Anesthesiology | Lexington, KY

Position Overview

Chief of the Anesthesiology service at the Lexington VA Health Care System providing administrative, clinical, and programmatic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct patient care on a rotational basis in operating room, pain clinic, intensive care units, GI clinic, EP procedure room, and other areas
• Plan services with patient-centered vision
• Establish customer-oriented culture aligned with VA iCARE values
• Lead quality, safety, and utilization management initiatives
• Manage service budget and fiscal activities
• Support research and education missions

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. No call requirements specified.

Compensation

$225,000 - $400,000 per year. Annual performance bonus and regular salary increases.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine or equivalent from accredited institution. U.S. citizenship. Full unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory. Proficiency in English. Board certification preferred for leadership role.
