VA Anesthesiologist | Louisville, KY

Position Overview

Full-time Anesthesiologist position at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The role involves preanesthetic evaluation, anesthetic planning, induction, invasive monitoring, regional techniques, and perioperative management. This position is an outside OR anesthesiologist.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preanesthetic history and physical exams
• Formulate anesthetic plans and induce anesthesia
• Perform invasive monitoring and regional anesthetic techniques
• Support life functions and manage homeostasis perioperatively
• Respond to calls requiring anesthesia skills in and outside the OR
• Maintain documentation and continuing education
• Participate in quality improvement efforts

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range $200,000 to $400,000 per year. Eligible for Education Debt Reduction Program up to $200,000. 50-55 days paid time off annually. Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine or equivalent from accredited institution. U.S. citizenship required. Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory. Proficiency in English. Board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology preferred for clinical roles.
