Position Overview

Advanced Practice Nurse Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position at VA Salt Lake City Health Care System. The role provides a full range of anesthesia services emphasizing quality timeliness and advancement of the VA mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care professionals for patient care safety and welfare.
• Provide anesthetic services including pre-anesthesia evaluation anesthesia induction maintenance emergence post anesthesia care and emergency response.
• Develop and implement comprehensive anesthesia plans for local regional general and monitored anesthesia.
• Function as resource for staff education and preceptor for trainees.
• Prescribe preoperative intra-operative and postoperative orders and medications.

Schedule

Rotating shifts including days nights weekends and holidays. Compressed or flexible schedules authorized.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range $183034 to $265343 per year. 50 days paid time off per year including 26 days annual leave 13 days sick leave and 11 federal holidays. Traditional federal pension with 5 years vesting and federal 401K with up to 5% VA contributions. Federal health vision dental term life and long-term care insurance options. Qualifications

U.S. citizenship required. English language proficiency. Must pass pre-employment physical evaluation background investigation and drug screening. Seasonal influenza vaccination required.
