Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist | Fort Worth, TX

Position Overview

Cook Children's Department of Pediatric Anesthesiology seeks a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist to join the cardiac anesthesia team at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. The role supports a tertiary care children's hospital with a high-volume cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology program.

Key Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for congenital and acquired cardiac conditions, including surgical, interventional catheterization, and advanced imaging services. Work with a multidisciplinary team focused on clinical excellence and safety.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required. Completion of ACGME or AMA approved anesthesiology residency. Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology. Fellowship training in pediatric cardiac anesthesia preferred. American Heart Association BLS and PALS required. Unrestricted Texas medical license required. Several years of dedicated experience considered in lieu of fellowship.

The Heart Center performed approximately 475 cardiothoracic surgeries and over 600 caths in 2024, along with 12,500 outpatient visits and 15,000 echos annually. The 3D Lab supports in-house printing and virtual planning for complex congenital heart disease.
