Position Overview
PRN General Anesthesiologist role in the North Shore Anesthesia group at Ochsner Health. Coverage includes Covington ASC, Slidell East, Slidell Main, and Hancock with basic peds, OB, and cardiac cases.
Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology required. Physicians directly from training or with experience are welcome. Must be comfortable working with community and Ochsner surgeons and use Epic EMR.
Facility Details
Ochsner Medical Center - North Shore is a 165-bed acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency room and the only PICU on the North Shore. The broader Ochsner Department of Anesthesiology has over 70 anesthesiologists, 100 CRNAs, and more than 30 house staff with annual case volume exceeding 52,000. The program includes a fully accredited residency and multiple fellowship programs.
