Position Overview

Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology position at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The role involves clinical anesthesia practice with academic responsibilities including teaching and mentoring trainees.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cases including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal, general vascular, and kidney transplants.
• Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Perform cases independently when required.
• Participate in departmental academic activities, conferences, and faculty meetings.
• Take 3-4 overnight calls per month, with possible evening and weekend calls.

Qualifications

• Completed US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.
• Board eligibility or certification in Anesthesiology required.
• Research experience is desirable but not required.
• Comfort supervising trainees and performing independent cases.

Schedule and Call

Call is 3-4 overnight calls per month. Some calls may be from home. Evening and weekend calls may also be required.

Compensation

Compensation depends on years of experience and determination of professorial rank at the time of hiring.
