Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist | Miami, FL

Position Overview

Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology, CVT at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Full-time faculty role providing cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia at University of Miami Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cardiothoracic cases including CABG, valve repair, aortic reconstruction, transplants, TAVR, and thoracic procedures.
• Provide general anesthesia for orthopedics, GYN, ENT, abdominal, and kidney transplant cases.
• Supervise residents, fellows, CRNAs, and SRNAs; perform cases independently when required.
• Participate in teaching, mentoring, departmental conferences, and faculty meetings.

Qualifications

• Completed US-approved anesthesiology residency and one-year cardiothoracic fellowship.
• TEE board certification or Testamur status required.
• Board eligibility or certification in anesthesiology required.
• Research experience desirable but not mandatory.

Schedule and Call

Home call averaging one weekday per week and one weekend per month.
