Position Overview

Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology, Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine and Pain Management seeks candidates for a faculty position focused on pediatric anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of pediatric cases including newborns, young children, adolescents, and adults.
• Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Perform cases independently when required.
• Participate in academic activities including teaching, mentoring trainees, and departmental conferences.
• Take 3-4 beeper calls per month, with some from home and possible evening or weekend calls.

Qualifications

• Completed US approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.
• Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship.
• Board eligibility or certification in Anesthesiology.
• Research experience is highly desirable but not required.

Schedule and Call

Call is expected to be 3-4 beeper calls per month. Some calls may be from home. Evening and weekend calls may also be needed.

Compensation

Compensation is dependent on years of experience and determination of professorial rank at the time of hiring.
