Position Overview

Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology position at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The role focuses on general anesthesiology with trauma emphasis in an academic setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cases including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal, vascular, and kidney transplants.
• Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Perform cases independently when required.
• Participate in teaching, mentoring trainees, and departmental conferences.
• Take 3-4 overnight calls per month, with some from home, plus possible evening and weekend calls.

Qualifications

• Completed US-approved residency in anesthesiology or equivalent training.
• Board eligibility or certification in anesthesiology required.
• Research experience highly desirable.

Schedule and Call

Call expected at 3-4 overnight calls per month. Some calls may be from home. Evening and weekend calls may also be required.
