General Anesthesiologist Faculty | Miami, FL

Position Overview

General Anesthesiologist faculty role in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The position involves clinical care across orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal, general vascular, and kidney transplant cases. Cardiac cases and anesthesia for children under 2 years are not required.

Qualifications

US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training required. Board eligibility or certification in Anesthesiology required. Research experience is desirable but not mandatory. Applicants must be comfortable supervising residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs, and performing cases independently when needed.

Schedule and Call

Call consists of 3-4 overnight calls per month, with some calls from home. Evening and weekend calls may also be required.

Academic Responsibilities

Participation in teaching, mentoring trainees, departmental conferences, and faculty meetings is expected. Effort distribution may adjust based on departmental needs and grant funding.
