Position Overview

The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology for a full-time faculty position in North Miami.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cases including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal, and general vascular.
• Supervise trainees and CRNAs.
• Perform cases independently when required.
• Participate in academic activities including teaching, mentoring trainees, departmental conferences, and faculty meetings.

Schedule and Call

Call consists of 3-4 overnight calls per month, with some from home. Limited evening and weekend calls may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.
• Board eligibility or certification in Anesthesiology required.

Practice Details

This academic position includes opportunities for teaching and research. Effort distribution may adjust based on departmental needs and extramural funding.
