Position Overview

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) role at Avera St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre, SD. Cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan for surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management procedures.

Schedule and Call Requirements

Weekday shifts run 0630 to 1500. Weekday call is approximately 1 per week. Weekend call is one every 6 weeks. Post-call day off is provided with incentive to work post-call if needed. Response time is 20 minutes.

Compensation and Benefits

May be eligible for up to a $100,000 sign-on bonus. CME allowance is $3,500 annually. PTO is available day 1 for eligible hires. Up to 5% employer matching contribution for retirement.

Qualifications

Requires Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license from Board of Nursing, Registered Nurse (RN) license from Board of Nursing, and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification from NBCRNA upon hire. Must hold active licenses in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Performs pre-operative patient assessment, determines and communicates plan of care, establishes venous access and airway, induces and maintains anesthesia, monitors patients, completes emergence from anesthesia, transfers care, and performs post-operative follow-up. Instructs anesthesia students in clinical settings.
